Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – This is a video recording of military exercises held by China near the border with Taiwan.
Video released by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Saturday (19/8) shows Chinese fighter jets in the air and naval warships participating in joint combat drills.
The military drills are a form of China’s response to Taiwan Vice President William Lai’s recent visit to the United States.
Taiwan’s defense ministry said starting Saturday morning, it detected 42 Chinese aircraft and eight ships involved in the military drills.
